This module implements basic functions for quantum information.

colder.quantum.math.fidelity(psi, chi) float[source]

Returns the fidelity of two quantum states, psi and chi.

\[\mathcal{F} = |\langle\chi|\psi\rangle|^2\]
Parameters:
  • psi (np.ndarray) – quantum state

  • chi (np.ndarray) – quantum state

Returns:

fid – fidelity of input states

Return type:

real

colder.quantum.math.infidelity(psi, chi) float[source]

Returns the infidelity of two quantum states, psi and chi.

\[\mathcal{F} = 1 - |\langle\chi|\psi\rangle|^2\]
Parameters:
  • psi (np.ndarray) – quantum state

  • chi (np.ndarray) – quantum state

Returns:

infid – infidelity of input states
